ALEX25's comment on the playlist:

This time, my goal was to create a playlist that included the top electronic dance music songs released in 2025 alone. Unlike other years in which I limited the songs chosen to a maximum of 25 tracks (as was the case with the ‘EDM Year’ playlists from 2019 to 2021), this time I wanted to expand the total number to offer a broader soundscape of what this year 2025 has been like for electronic music. This decision allows me to include more variety in terms of both musical pieces from different genres and the varied forms in which the different songs have been composed. The playlist that is now available to you has a clear intention in the order of the songs; I have arranged it this way to make it musically enjoyable. It has been an interesting year, and much of the music I include is focused on the club scene as usual. In fact, there are songs such as ‘Blessing’ by Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglass, or ‘Solfa (Tila)’ by Francis Mercier, Ginton, MoBlack, and Rindis, which have a distinct summer vibe and are typical of Ibiza afternoons. But we could also go to tracks like ‘Come With Me’ by Major League Djz feat. Jorja Smith or ‘Where I'm From’ by Cassian, SCRIPT and Belladona, which transport us directly to the purest club night where the melodic lines take center stage, giving rise to songs with great sonic breadth. Of course, in this playlist there are many more songs that evoke these and other different scenarios. I think it is important to mention the creative work of the Spanish-speaking community, among whom I also find myself this year with my remix ‘Trongole Trongole’ by the group O Caimán Do Rio Tea, but especially by internationally renowned artists Tom & Collins, So Kourtesis, and Ela Minus, who have managed to get three very well-produced tracks in the electronic and dance genre onto the radio airwaves. It is true that every few years we have a non-English-language song that It is true that every few years we have a non-English-language song that makes it onto the charts, but this year there have been several interesting pieces and it is something to take into account in a musical ecosystem that clearly favors English as the main language. As anyone familiar with the different genres of electronic music knows, there is a wide variety of music available (although there have been years with less and more creativity than we can enjoy today), and at the end of the day, it is a personal decision for each DJ to include certain songs. In my case, this year I have opted for a calm and generally relaxed variety, which is ultimately the feeling I want to be left with from this year 2025, that is, to close the year in a calm way. And so this is how I bid farewell to the year 2025, a unique and very special year for me, as it is the year that coincides with the number I carry in my artist name ALEX25, which, by the way, is my birthday and that's where it comes from. I hope that all of you who listen to this playlist enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed its songs. Sincerely, ALEX25.
